Skales Gets A New Life: OHK Music

What would you do if you can never fail? How far can you go when pressed against the wall? Would you cower and fall down in shame and disgrace? Or you’ll cling onto hope, trust in your powers, and make better from a losing position?

Former EME star, Skales, is a man with a knife between his teeth. He is on a mission to dominate the Nigerian entertainment industry, thrill the world with his gifts, and turn around the situation in which life has thrown him into. He wants to make good from hopelessness.

Cast away from his home and recording house, Skales fell low from grace. The powers that be at EME deemed it fit (after 4 years of business and pleasure) to let him fall through their net, and go crashing to the ground. Not deemed worthy of further investment, they released him to the world, alone, and without direction.

The social media, a place of darkness, where the false sense of anonymity and security, bestow upon many Nigerians the ability to be min-gods and demons, haunted the man. They cursed, criticized, and haunted him with a cesspit biter comments fit enough to make a man take his life. But not Skales.

He is risen!

My joy knew no bounds when I received an email from the man, with the contents announcing his new business venture, and the release of a new single. Skales has risen from all the negativity around him to set up his record label, OHK Music, and sign his first act, Producer Drey Beatz.

OHK Music will cater to music production, song writing, music promotions, as well as music publishing for all acts signed to the label.

This new life is reflected in the man himself. Striding into the Pulse TV Studio, Skales seemed to a little something extra, that have been lacking in recent times. There was a certain bounce in his gait, an extra spring in his steps, like a man truly alive, and in control of his fate.

The traps will always exist. The Nigerian music industry is one of chaos and dynamism, boasting an endless string of talents, with the competition beyond human understanding. Skales understands this. He knows he has to shine and astound.

Failure in this can be a reality, let’s be honest, but rarely will failure remain absolute. There would always be enough juice left in Skales’ tank to rebound and do better, with lessons learned, and leaking holes plugged.

My honest money is on Skales to go on and dominate the scene. Lesser men than he have impressed, and he possesses all the ingredients to be a true great. Money, fame, respect, a network of valuable connections, a truthful and critical team, and above all; immense talent.

Skales is risen, and with his rise will come domination. What would you do if you can never fail?

Ask Skales. He knows all the answers.
