Jean Silva Gets New Opponent for Noche UFC

Jean Silva is set to face a new opponent with less than a month's notice after Yair Rodriguez withdrew from the main event of Noche UFC.

Silva will now headline the September 12th event against Jose Delgado. The reasons for Rodriguez's withdrawal have not been disclosed. The news was confirmed by American media outlet mmafighting.com.

Noche UFC will take place at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

Delgado (12-2) gets his first opportunity to headline an event in his home state of Arizona. He enters the bout on a two-fight winning streak, having defeated Andre Fili and Austin Bash earlier this year, securing him a spot in the new Meta UFC rankings. Delgado boasts four UFC victories, with his sole loss coming against Nathaniel Wood in 2025.

Silva (17-3) will look to continue his upward trajectory after a decision win over Arnold Allen in January. That victory saw him rebound from a title eliminator loss to Diego Lopes. "Lord" holds a 6-1 record in the UFC and has earned four performance bonuses.
