This means the tactician will depart his role after a two-and-a-half-year tenure marked by significant success. Despite taking over the “Elephants” in an emergency capacity during the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations, Faé led them to triumph in the tournament. Furthermore, under his guidance, Ivory Coast not only qualified for the World Cup for the first time since 2014 but also made their debut in the knockout stages of the 2026 World Cup, where they were eliminated by Norway in the Round of 16. The 42-year-old coach leaves with a record of 25 wins, four draws, and seven losses in 36 matches.
