Sunday's other ITM Cup clash saw Counties Manukau run out 21-16 victors over Tasman.
Pauliasi Manu, Mike Stanley and Jordan Taufua all crossed for Manukau, and the result means Tasman will face Canterbury in their semi-final next Saturday.
