The IBF also extended a warm message to Usyk.

"Throughout his remarkable career, Usyk has established himself as one of the sport's elite competitors, and the IBF is honored to have recognized him as one of its world champions. His talent and drive for excellence have left a lasting mark on boxing and will continue to inspire future generations of fighters. The IBF wishes Oleksandr Usyk continued success in his future endeavors."

Sanchez, with a record of 26-1 and 19 knockouts, was last seen in the ring in May when he knocked out Richard Torrez in the second round.
