The 29-year-old Moroccan international, Diop, joins the "Tractor Boys" for a reported fee of £8.5 million on a four-year deal. The defender has previously played for Fulham and West Ham in the Premier League, as well as Toulouse in France's Ligue 1. Issa Diop also boasts nine caps for the Moroccan national team, including five appearances at the World Cup in North America.

Fatawu, 22, will be part of the East Anglian side for the next five years. According to Sky Sports, the transfer fee for the Ghanaian international was £20 million, with potential add-ons of £3 million. Fatawu was a member of Ghana's World Cup squad, featuring in all four of the "Black Stars'" matches at the tournament.

These two additions bring Ipswich's summer signings to six. Earlier in the month, the club secured goalkeeper Kane van Ouwelen, forwards Chuba Akpom and Emerson, and central defender Cedric Kipre.
