Orina Deborah, Idowu Oluwatobiloba and Ojelade Omotoyosi were awarded the 2015 awards.

The school’s administrator, Olatokunbo Edun, who spoke at the award presentation ceremony, said the scholarship is aimed at assisting low income to finance the education of their academically talented wards.

Edun said the award was based on the belief that the larger society benefits tremendously when indigent pupils are empowered through quality education.

“We, as a matter of policy, support intellectually endowed pupils who would not have been able to access quality education due to their lowly background but for the yearly scholarship scheme,” Edun said.

The administrator called on Nigerians and corporate organisations to replicate the effort and provide assistance for such pupils, noting that intellectual endowment is unconnected to social status or background.

She noted that the school's Indigent Scholarship scheme, instituted by her late mother, Mrs. Grace Oshinowo, has benefited many indigent brilliant pupils.
