A Magistrate Court sitting in Gusau, Zamfara, has remanded three men, Mubarak Saleh, Iliyasu Musa and Bilyaminu Haruna, all of Gusau town, for belonging to a notorious outlawed group.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Daniel Longwal, told the court that on April 2, acting on credible information, the Police from Tudun Wada Police Station traced and arrested the suspects.
Longwal said the accused persons were suspected members of a notorious gang known as ''Sara Suka''.
He said that the accused persons were found in possession of dangerous weapons such as cutlasses, machetes, knives and clubs, with which they carried out violent crimes in Tudun Wada and its environs.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened section 305 of the Penal Code.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the offence.
The Magistrate, Alhaji Umar Abdulnasir, ordered that the accused persons be remanded in prison custody.
Abdulnasir adjourned the case till April 30, for mention.
