Chief Imam of Police Barracks Mosque in Yola, Ahmed Suleiman, has asked Muslims to be extra vigilant and report any suspicious person or thing to the authorities.

ASP Suleiman made the call during a sermon at the mosque in Yola on Friday, Daily Independent reports.
The Imam also called on worshippers to stop bringing bags or things that would cause suspicion to mosques or crowded places.
“You also need to cooperate with security operatives who are out to protect you’’, Suleiman said.
The advice came in the aftermath of the bomb blast in which more than 30 people lost their lives and about 50 sustained injuries opposite the Jimeta Modern Market on Thursday.

NAN reports that the Friday prayer was observed peacefully throughout the city.
