Shilling unchanged, seen getting support from treasury bill auction

The Ugandan shilling was unchanged on Wednesday and traders were eyeing dollar inflows from offshore investors participating in a Treasury bill auction later in the day to provide support to the local currency.

At 0939 GMT commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,342/3,352, unchanged from Tuesday's close.

The central bank on Wednesday scheduled to sell 190 billion shillings ($56.80 million) worth Treasury bills of all maturities.
