PTA executes N32.7m projects in FGC

The Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of Federal Government College, Sokoto, has spent N32.7 million in the last three years on the execution of various projects in the school.

The Chairman of the association, Prof. Aminu Ibrahim, made the disclosure in Sokoto on Monday, when he addressed newsmen.

Ibrahim, who is also the Provost, College of Agriculture, Munki-Wurno, said the projects covered renovation of classrooms, hostels and other structures, as well as electrification and provision of 500 units of furniture.

“We have also sponsored school Prefects to a Citizenship and Leadership Training in Kotorkoshi, Zamfara State.

“We also paid the allowances of 23 part-time teachers for different subjects during the period under review.

“The association has been settling disputes between the school management and the teachers.”

The chairman said that the intervention was part of the association’s contribution to the welfare and comfort of students and teachers in the college.
