The victim, Dr Vincent Elvin Eebee, was also a lecturer at the Ken-Saro Wiwa Polytechnic in Bori, according to Daily Post.

He was said to have been gunned down along with a first year female student of the institution, identified as Priye.

Reports have it that Eebee was shot several times by his attackers leading to the belief that it was a planned assassination.

The incident is said to have been confirmed by the police in the state.
