The Transition Committee set up by the Lagos State Governor-elect, Akinwunmi Ambode on Friday, May 22, submitted its report.
This is contained in a statement made available to journalists in Lagos by Ambode's media office.
The 10-member committee, headed by the Deputy Governor-elect, Dr Idiat Adebule, was set up by Ambode on April 21.
It was set up to facilitate a smooth transition between the outgoing administration and the incoming one.
According to the statement, Ambode, while receiving the report, reaffirmed his commitment to maintain the excellence Lagos was known for.
It said that Ambode thanked members of the committee for a good job and for submitting the report on schedule.
The statement quoted the governor-elect as saying that the report will assist the incoming government to ensure that the state continued in its tradition of excellence.
It stated that Adebule, on her part, expressed appreciation on behalf of the members and thanked Ambode for giving them the opportunity to serve.
The statement said that Adebule assured him that members will be ready anytime they are called upon to assist the new government in any capacity.
