Shilling under pressure as manufacturers seek dollars

The Kenyan shilling came under pressure on Tuesday from manufacturing firms seeking dollars while inflows of foreign exchange slowed.

The currency could receive a boost next week from the sale of a nine-year infrastructure bond that is expected to draw in dollars from offshore investors, traders said.
