The statement reads:
“I write to inform Your Excellency that the Enugu House of Assembly never moved any impeachment motion, not to mention directing the Clerk to serve any notice of impeachment to His Excellency Sullivan I. Chime, the Governor of Enugu State.”
A faction of state lawmakers, led by Speaker, Eugene Odoh, claimed to have begun impeachment proceedings against Chime on Monday, May 4.
