Following her performance in the final, Angelina revealed to "Sport Klub" what went wrong, citing the low temperature in Birmingham as the primary issue.

"It just wasn't my day, it seems. I believe I'm in excellent form and my body is ready for heights over two meters, but I couldn't adapt to the conditions, which is entirely my fault. I literally froze; I couldn't feel my legs, I was shaking the whole time, and I completely lost coordination. I couldn't warm up. I did everything in my power – I wore multiple layers, we brought a thick blanket, I tried to keep moving – but we didn't expect it to be this cold. I don't want to use it as an excuse because everyone faced the same conditions. If only I had cleared the height on my first attempt, I would have had more time to warm up, but these things happen. I don't know how to react; I still haven't processed what happened. The worst is yet to come, and I certainly don't want to make excuses. Even if I had continued the competition, it just wouldn't have been me, with such strong headwind and the cold... I'm not injured, and I'll continue the season, but it's a real shame about this." - Angelina Topić
