On Wednesday, Misfits Boxing and Cejudo himself announced his upcoming boxing debut. He will face influencer Dean The Great on September 26th at the James L. Knight Arena in Miami.

The 39-year-old Cejudo retired from mixed martial arts for the second time in December, following a decision loss to Payton Talbott at UFC 323. Since then, he has focused on other ventures, including a return to wrestling.

Cejudo made two appearances for Real American Freestyle, most recently losing on points to Merab Dvalishvili. The two are scheduled for a rematch this Saturday at the RAF 12 event in Cleveland. Cejudo also has prior boxing experience, having won the Arizona State Copper Gloves tournament in 2010.

Dean The Great is one of the most successful influencer boxers globally, boasting a 7-1 record in exhibition bouts. In his last outing, he suffered a decision loss to Amado Vargas, son of former world boxing champion Fernando Vargas, at the Misfits Mania event in December.
