Jose Mourinho has continued to leave out the midfielder since returned from a slight injury in September.
According to Independents, United have already made the decisions to sell the Armenian midfielder in the January transfer windows.
Sources at United say that coaches consider the midfielder very weak mentally and unable to handle the physical demands of the Premier League.
The reports also state that United are trying to manage the situation so they can be able to recoup a huge part of the £27million they splashed on the 27-year-old.
He is however expected to be named in the squad to play Manchester City in the English Football League Cup on Wednesday, October 26.
