Superstar LeBron James appears to have already decided on the next step in his NBA career but is keeping it a secret, according to ESPN NBA insider Brian Windhorst. "Yes, absolutely, he knows what he's going to do," Windhorst said on ESPN Cleveland's "5 Good Minutes with Windy."
"I have other people that I see and talk to every day who are very close to LeBron and spend time around him, but he's not telling them," added the journalist, who was also asked about the possibility of James returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
While not confirming it as a certainty, he admitted that the mood around the league seems to be pointing in that direction. "If you're asking me, 'Are the vibes pointing to Cleveland?' Yes, the vibes are pointing to Cleveland. But they're just vibes," Brian Windhorst clarified.
Meanwhile, his colleague Shams Charania has identified three teams as the current frontrunners for the 41-year-old forward's signature: Cleveland, the Miami Heat, and the Philadelphia 76ers.
A move to the Cleveland Cavaliers would carry significant historical weight for LeBron James, who spent the first seven seasons of his career there before joining Miami in 2010. He later returned to the Cavaliers in 2014 and led the team to an NBA championship two years later.
Since 2018, he has been playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.
