National Hajj commission of Nigeria appoints Jaiz Bank for collection of pilgrim sacrifice
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has appointed Jaiz Bank Plc to serve as its agent to receive from intending pilgrims Qurbani (Sacrifice) collection for the 2015 Hajj.
Leadership News reports that a letter of appointment signed by the commissioner of policy, personnel management and finance of the NAHCON, Yusuf Adebayo Ibrahim, mandated the bank to collaborate with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) based in Jeddah to ensure the success of the collaboration.
The letter read, “I have the honour to convey the approval of the commission for the appointment of your bank as the Hadeya agent for the Nigerian pilgrims for the 2015 Hajj.”
It was gathered that based on the appointment, Jaiz Bank is to provide the required manpower to supervise the project, including visits to slaughterhouses in Saudi Arabia to confirm implementation of the Hadaya scheme.
