El-Rufai allegedly accused of wielding power over Paris Club refund
Following the decision by the Federal Government to reimburse states with N522.7billion over deducted Paris Club debt refund, there are allegations of power tussle in the Governors Forum.
According to reports, Kaduna State governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has been alleged to be wielding more power than other governors in the decision of the governors over the remitted funds.
It is been alleged that following the appointment of El-Rufai's special adviser on investment, Jimi Lawal as the consultant to mediate for the Governors Forum, the Kaduna state governor has been wielding more power in the decision being made on the remittance of the Paris Club debt refund.
It was further alleged that Lawal was made the consultant following the emergence of Gov El-Rufai in 2015, hence displacing the former consultant - a legal counsel from South West Nigeria.
