Golden Eaglets of Nigeria beat Black Starlets of Ghana 4-2 in AFCON qualifier
Nigeria's U-17 men's national team known as the Golden Eaglets on Saturday, June 11, 2022 recorded a 4-2 victory against their counterparts from Ghana.
The Golden Eaglets took to the pitch against Ghana as they started their qualification campaign for the 2023 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations (AFCON).
In their opening group game of the 2022 West African Football Union (WAFU) age-grade tournament, the team led by Nduka Ugbade were dominant from start to finish.
The Golden Eaglets battled the Black Starlets at the Cape Coast Stadium and came out victorious.

Golden Eaglets vs Black Starlets
The Golden Eaglets took the lead as early as the 12th minute through Emmanuel Michael.
The second goal for The Golden Eaglets came in the 43rd minute as they went to the halftime break two-goals up.
Just after the restart, Jubril Azeez scored the third for the Golden Eaglets.
Abdul Razak Salifu pulled one back for the Black Starlets in the 58th minute to give them a lifeline in the closing stages.
The Golden Eaglets extended their lead in the 78th minute through Light Ike to secure the win.
The Black Stars pulled one back in the 88th minute when Collins Agyemang converted a penalty as the game ended 4-2 in favor of the Golden Eaglets.
It was a bit of revenge for Nigeria after losing the 2022 FIFA World Cup ticket to Ghana.
