Georgina Rodríguez, the entrepreneur and influencer who is Cristiano Ronaldo's partner, found herself embroiled in controversy following the World Cup final where Spain defeated Argentina in extra time.

This stir was caused by a Facebook page, appearing to be official, that posted a provocative message aimed at the South American squad.

The message simply read, "Bye bye, Argentina," but it sparked significant outrage among some Argentine fans.

It's worth noting that despite growing up in Spain and identifying more as Spanish, as evidenced by various posts, Georgina Rodríguez was born in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.

Georgina, via an Instagram story, clarified that the Facebook account, despite appearing official, was not hers.

"There's a Facebook account impersonating me. I'm already in contact with the Meta team to resolve this situation as soon as possible. Thank you for always alerting me and for your support," she wrote.

Regardless, Georgina did celebrate Spain's World Cup victory, but without any provocations towards Argentina: in a previous Instagram story, she posted an image of fireworks after La Roja's triumph, accompanied by a red heart.
