The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained a former Governor of Benue State,
Uwujaren said Suswam was invited by the anti-graft agency on Thursday, November 2, and is still n custody as at the time of filing this report.
The ex-Governor is being questioned over his alleged role in the disbursement of N23 billion which came from the embattled former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
Alison-Madueke allegedly disbursed N450 million to Governors and Ministers on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the Goodluck Jonathan administration.
Other Governors who have been interrogated by the EFCC include, immediate past Governor of Kebbi State, Saidu Dakin Garin; former Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State, former Governor Ibrahim Shekarau of Kano State, former Governor Ali Modu Sheriff of Borno State, former Governor James Ngilari of Adamawa State; a former Governor of Zamfara State, Mamuda Shinkafi; a former Governor of Cross River State, Senator Liyel Imoke.
