5 steps to renew this important document
The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) drivers license is a very important document, as all drivers must own one, in order to drive on any Nigerian road.
Without it, the motorist is likely to get into trouble with FRSC officials, and other law enforcement agents.
Thus, it is essential that road users renew their driver's licenses, when they expire, every four years.
Here are five steps to renew the FRSC driver's license.
1. Go to a Driver's Licence Centre (DLC) or apply online at www.nigeriadriverslicence.org. Fill in your driver's license number and date of birth.
2. Next, pay the licence fee, N6,000 or more, online or at the Bank.
3. Then, take your receipts and application form to be endorsed by the Board of Internal Revenue (BIR) Officer and Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) at the DLC.
4. Have your biometric data captured at by a FRSC officer at the DLC.
5. Lastly, get a temporary driver’s licence, this is valid for 60 days.
Be sure to pick up your permanent, renewed driver’s licence at the BIR Office after 60 days.
