Former Real Madrid player wanted by Interpol

Ex-Colombian international  Freddy Rincon is wanted by intergovernmental organization facilitating international police for  questioning in drug related crimes in Panama.

Interpol have revealed that they want the former Real Madrid midfielder and question him over two alegged offences.

The Panaman Police Authorities want Rincon for charges which includes money laundering and criminal conspiracy relating to drugs.

Rincon has however claimed he is innocent of the charges, revealing though a statement that has no evidence to back up their accusations against him.

"Panama do not have any evidence against me. That is also the reason why the Brazilian authorities closed their case against me," Rincon said in a statement obtained by Semana.

Rincon has had his run-ins with the law in the past for similar offences.

In 2007, Rincón came under criminal investigation in Colombia and Panama, facing charges of collaboration with cocaine kingpin Pablo Rayo Montaño and suspicion of money laundering.

On May 10, São Paulo police took him into custody after a Panamanian request for extradition.

He played for Real Madrid in the 1995-96 season before heading to Brazil to play for Palmeiras, Corinthians, Santos and Cruzeiro.
