Francisco Conceição: "We're not obligated to pass the ball to Ronaldo"

Francisco Conceição, the national team forward, addressed a hot topic within the squad: Cristiano Ronaldo. When asked if the other players feel compelled to provide assists for the captain, the winger clarified the situation.

"No, Cristiano possesses an unparalleled ability to score goals; there's no one quite like him in that regard. We don't feel obligated or compelled to pass him the ball. For instance, speaking for myself, I pass the ball to whoever is in the best position. It's not like I have time to think about the face of the teammate next to me; we play by instinct, in milliseconds. There's no time for that, and Cristiano is here to help, just like any other teammate in the national squad," he affirmed.
