“My name is Francis Uzoho, I play for Deportivo La Coruna and I’m 19 years old,” the goalkeeper said as he first introduced himself in a video shared on the Instagram account of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

After his introduction, the former Golden Eaglets star could not come up with any song.

Although his amused teammates tried reminding him of some songs, the goalkeeper could not come up with any song.

Uzoho, however, was not out of ideas when he made his debut for the Super Eagles in their 4-2 win over Argentina in a friendly game on Tuesday, November 14.

The goalkeeper, however, did not concede any of the Argentine’s goal as he only played in the second half when the Super Eagles scored three goals to win the game.

Uzoho was impressive in that second and although he wasn’t tested, the Super Eagles were buoyed by his confidence to go ahead and win the game.

He dominated his area well and came out well to get his hands on set pieces.

Argentina scored two goals in the first half through Ever Banega and Sergio Aguero before Kelechi Iheanacho pulled one back before halftime.

Alex Iwobi netted a brace in the second while Bryan Idowu scored on his debut to seal the win for Nigeria.
