The FIA confirmed today that a total of four drivers will take new power unit components. Isack Hadjar, Arvid Lindblad, Franco Colapinto, and Valtteri Bottas have all been fitted with new internal combustion engines (ICE). Lindblad and Bottas will also receive new turbochargers, while Lindblad takes a new exhaust system as well.

As a result of these changes, Hadjar, Lindblad, and Colapinto have been hit with grid penalties. Hadjar receives a five-place grid drop, Colapinto takes a 10-place penalty, and Lindblad is sent straight to the back of the grid.

Bottas had only used three engines prior to this, meaning he avoids any sanctions.
