Former Super Eagles midfielder Onazi joins Saudi Arabian club
Nigeria midfielder Ogenyi 'Eddy' Onazi has joined Saudi Arabia First League club Al-Adalah.
Football agent Stephen Makinwa broke the news of the transfer on his Instagram page.
Makinwa posted a graphic of Onazi and captioned it as follows: "Transfer alert: Our own @onaziogenyi joins @aladalahclub on a permanent move from @denizlispor ⚽️⚽️💪🏾 #newchallenge #newchapter #nigeria #football #makozgroup #quality #saudiarabia"
Since his release from Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor in 2020, the former Lazio man has also played for Danish club SonderjysKE and Zalgris of Lithuania. He last played for Turkish club Denizilispor.
Onazi who is still just 29 has been unlucky with injuries and also struggled to stay fit in recent years which cost him his place with the Super Eagles.
The AFCON 2013 winner links up with fellow Nigerian Tunde Adeniji at Al-Adalah who occupies the second position in the Saudi second division.
