These little white sweets are a popular and common dessert in Greece.

There are some recipes for this sweet that use eggs, but this vegan version does not use eggs. So you can decide whether you want to make it vegan compliant or not.

The sweets are sweet and tasty and they are also rich in protein.

What you need:

- Quarter a cup of orange water

- 500 grams of ground almonds

- Two eggs (no eggs if you are vegetarian)

- One cup of sugar

- Quarter a cup of mashed banana

- One cup of sugar

- Some water

How to:1. Preheat your oven at 180 degrees Celsius

2. Mix a cup water with the orange water.

3. In another bowl, mix the sugar and ground almond. If you are using eggs, add them to the batter.

4. Add in the mashed banana and mix. Knead to make soft dough.

5. Form the sweets from the dough.

6. Place the sweets on a baking pan lined with parchment paper.

6. Bake for about 20 minutes.

7. Remove from oven allow to cool.

8. Roll in powdered sugar.

9. Serve and store as desired.
