Filip Hrgović delivered a stunning knockout victory on enemy territory, defeating the previously unbeaten British boxer Moses Itauma in the ninth round, handing him the first loss of his career.

Itauma started the fight strong, displaying aggression and quickly dictating the pace. This gave the Brit confidence and a significant advantage, even sending Hrgović to the canvas in the second round. However, the Croatian managed to get back on his feet before the referee's ten-count, allowing the bout to continue.

Despite avoiding another knockdown, Filip remained on the back foot until the end of the sixth round. Yet, as the seventh round began, the first signs of fatigue started to show on the British boxer, who had finished all 14 of his previous career fights within the first six rounds.

As the championship fight progressed, Hrgović realized he had to go all-in, as a points victory against Itauma seemed unlikely. This aggressive approach ultimately paid off, as he knocked out the home crowd favorite in the ninth round.

With a flurry of punches that forced referee Foster to stop the contest, Filip Hrgović was crowned the IBF World Heavyweight Champion.
