World football governing body, FIFA has named the Flying Eagles the youngest team at the U20 World Cup

The 21-man Flying Eagles squad have been are the youngest team in the upcoming FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand.

The squad called up by coach Manu Garba is largely made up of members of the 2013Golden Eaglets squad  that won the U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.

According to FIFA, the average age of the Nigeria team is 18 years and nine months.

A total of 504 players have been selected by 24 teams taking part in the tournament.

The oldest team are the European duo of Germany and Ukraine.

The Flying Eagles will kick off their campaign on Monday, June 1 against their Brazilian counterparts.

They will face North Korea and Hungary in the other group games.
