Spain has climbed to sixth on the list, overtaking Australia. Argentina holds steady at eighth, while Brazil moved up one spot to ninth. Lithuania rounds out the Top 10.

Interestingly, between the 11th and 20th positions on the ranking list, there are nine European national teams and only one from outside the Old Continent. These spots are currently occupied by Turkey, Latvia, Greece, Slovenia, Italy, Puerto Rico, Finland, Montenegro, Poland, and Georgia, in that order.

FIBA Changes Scoring System

Starting from the fourth qualifying window for the upcoming FIBA World Cup, national teams that secure a victory by 30 or more points will receive additional bonus points for the FIBA ranking list. This introduces a new level of reward, building upon the previous bonus awarded for wins by at least 15 points.
