The former Juventus and Real Madrid defender’s villa was seized as part of a planning abuse investigation, and sealed, barring entrance but the 41-year-old breached orders when he attempted breaking in.

According to an investigation led by prosecutor Luigi Cannavale, Cannavaro, together with brother Paolo and his wife, Daniela Arenoso went to the villa for a dip in the pool – despite the lockout.

Paolo who plays for Sassuolo, and his wife were hit with custodial sentences; the trio appealed and have been granted pardon until the court revisits the case.
