Former Super Eagles striker Simy Nwankwo joins Parma on loan

Simy Nwankwo has been signed by Serie B side Parma

Former Super Eagles striker Simy has joined Serie B side Parma.

Parma has announced the deadline day signing of Nigerian forward Simeon Nwankwo. The target man joins on loan until the end of the 2021-22 season.

Simy has scored one goal and assisted a further one in a poor season for struggling Salernitana. However the Nigerian forward knows the second flight of Italian football very well.

Simy enjoyed a prolific 2020/2021 season playing for Corotone where he scored 20 goals. He is ranked as Crotone's all-time top scorer with 66 goals in 159 appearances across Serie A, Serie B and Coppa Italia.

His prolific streak in Serie B encouraged Serie A new boys Salernitana to have him lead the line.
