CSKA Moscow, Fenerbahce post play-off wins
CSKA Moscow and Fenerbahce Ulker moved a step closer to featuring in the Euroleague's Final Four on Thursday.
Both sides took a 2-0 lead in their best-of-five play-off series.
CSKA has reached the Final Four in 11 of the last 12 years and they look to set to continue that excellent run after a 100-80 win over Panathinaikos Athens.
The Greek side started brightly, jumping out to a 14-8 lead, but CSKA - inspired by three triples from Andrei Kirilenko (16 points) - scored the last 13 points of the first quarter.
Sonny Weems shot 20 points and Nando De Colo added 16 in the victory.
De Colo was big in the second quarter for the Russian outfit, as they moved to a 47-35 lead at the break and they never looked back en route to a comfortable victory.
Vasilis Charalampopoulos led all scorers for Panathinaikos with 14.
In Thursday's other match, Fenerbahce won their seventh home match in a row, toppling Maccabi Electra 82-67.
Of Andrew Goudelock's 19 points, 17 came in the first half as Fenerbahce were never troubled.
They led 27-11 in the first quarter and led 50-34 at the main break.
Nemanja Bjelica pulled down 14 rebounds for the victors - one shot off the Euroleague record - as they moved within one win of their first appearance in the Final Four.
