Just two months and three competitive appearances after joining the club, Kelci-Rose Bowers has parted ways with Hashtag United by mutual consent. The defender, partner of Argentina international Marcos Senesi, previously made headlines during the World Cup for openly supporting the South American side due to their relationship.

Bowers signed for the club in August from Bournemouth—where the couple originally met—following Senesi's move to Tottenham. The former San Lorenzo defender penned a four-year deal with Spurs in early June after his contract with the Cherries expired, prompting her move to London and subsequent club switch.

In an official club statement, Hashtag United confirmed the exit without elaborating on specific reasons: "The club confirms that Kelci-Rose Bowers has terminated her contract by mutual consent. We welcomed Kelci this summer after her arrival from Bournemouth, but unfortunately it did not work out and the club has agreed to her transfer to another FA WNL team. We wish Kelci the very best in this next chapter of her career."

Meanwhile, British outlet The Sun reported an intriguing angle behind the premature exit. According to the paper, Bowers' public support for Argentina at the 2026 World Cup—including wearing an Argentine shirt in the stands during the semi-final against England to cheer on Senesi—allegedly sparked internal friction that eventually led to her departure from the London side.

Bowers' spell at Hashtag United ultimately proved brief. The full-back completed the full 90 minutes on her debut against Lewes, got on the scoresheet in the League Cup, and made her final appearance on August 30, fittingly against Bournemouth.
