Encouraging Super Eagles performances at the weekend

The burly forward thrived off the bench in a landmark game as Trabzonspor secured a 2-1 success over Caykur Rizespor on Friday.
It was Nwakaeme’s 100th game for the club and his 73rd-minute strike for the Black Sea Storm secured maximum points for the league leaders.
“[Friday] was just amazing as I celebrate 100 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig with a winning goal off the bench,” Trabzonspor’s latest Centurion stated in an Instagram post.
“Thanks to my teammates, coaches and our amazing fans for all the love and support.”
It was Trabzonspor’s fourth straight win and the Super Lig challengers have opened up a four-point advantage at the top of the standings.
Samuel Kalu
Kalu came off the bench to inspire a 17-minute comeback for Bordeaux against Stade de Reims on Sunday.
The wide attacker set up Jimmy Briand’s first of the afternoon in the 78th minute, which made it 2-2 at the time, which set up a grandstand denouement.
A 95th-minute winner completed the comeback and Kalu’s first assist of the season was timely for the Girondins who moved above Reims into 16th following the turnaround.
Paul Onuachu
After going three league games without scoring (five in all competitions), Onuachu netted in Genk’s 6-2 hammering of Zulte Waregem on Sunday.
The striker’s strike made it 3-0 on the day and he’s now up to 10 top flight strikes in as many starts (12 appearances in total).
Genk ended a three-game losing run in style, and John van den Brom ought to be pleased his top frontman ended an extended drought in the success.
