The out of form player was heavily booed by his own club fans which made him undefined.

A Twitter account thought to be from the striker later tweeted that he was racially abused and that he wanted out of the club.

Fenerbahçe have however released a statement confirming that a twitter account posing as Emmanuel Emenike and claiming to be a victim of racist abuse is indeed fake.

“Due to the some news that have been caused by unreal posts from some fake accounts on the name of Emmanuel Emenike on Twitter, it has been considered necessary to make this statement,” the club said in the statement.
