Governor promises rehabilitation of Kaduna prison

During an inspection visit by Kaduna State governor Nasiru El-Rufai on Saturday, June  13, 2015, the governor mentioned that the rehabilitation of Zaria prison will cost N24 million.

He also stated that the renovation, if completed would improve the security level  of the entire prison and give it a new look.

El-Rufai said the money would be used to rehabilitate the affected areas and advised the Nigeria Prisons Service to contact the Kaduna State Ministry of Works on how to go about the project.

The Governor also visited the Zaria Water Project to ascertain level of completion, his humanitarian intervention was greatly appreciated by the Controller of Prisons Alhaji AbubakarGarba in Kaduna State.
