Eight members of the Bulgarian national football team correctly predicted Spain would be crowned world champions. In an impromptu poll conducted by Sportal.bg in the days leading up to the 2026 World Cup, almost all of Alexander Dimitrov's squad offered their forecasts for the eventual global victor.

Eight of the "Lions" proved to be astute football pundits: Rosen Bozhinov, Georgi Rusev, Martin Georgiev, Patrik-Gabriel Galchev, Dimitar Velkovski, Petko Panayotov, Kristian Dimitrov, and Andrea Hristov. All of them picked "La Furia Española" and were proven right.

Interestingly, not a single vote went to the reigning world champions, Argentina. However, Barcelona star Ferran Torres dethroned the "Gauchos" and secured Spain's second World Cup title.
