They were held at home in Kaduna on Friday, March 25 to a 1-1 draw by the Egyptians.
Oghenekaro Etobo scored Nigeria’s goal in the 60th minute strike before a 90th strike by Mohammed Salah ensured Egypt went home with a point.
The result leaves the Super Eagles of Nigeria second in the group with five points, while Egypt lead with seven.

The return leg to be played in Alexandria, Egypt on Tuesday, March 29.
According to information found on the website of the Nigeria Football Federation, (NFF) players and officials of the Super Eagles traveled to Alexandria on Monday aboard a chartered flight.
The team flew direct to Alexandria but were unable to train at the match venue on Monday evening because they arrived late.
