England coach Eddie Jones would consider using Owen Farrell at inside centre instead of at fly-half.

Jones named a new-look England squad on Wednesday as they prepare for the Six Nations, which starts in February.

Farrell played mostly at fly-half during last year's Rugby World Cup, although he started at 12 when George Ford was at 10 for one pool stage match.

Jones said it was an option to have the Saracens man at inside centre.

"Owen is capable of playing 10 or 12, so it's a consideration," he said.

"The modern game you can play 12 in a number of different ways. Everyone talks about having a ball player, how many teams have that?

"We're not chasing the radical ball player."

England open their Six Nations campaign against Scotland at Murrayfield on February 6.
