Eddie Hearn: I Need to Sue Dana White

The ongoing feud between promoters Dana White and Eddie Hearn continues to escalate.

Throughout much of 2026, White and Hearn have been engaged in a public spat, even briefly discussing the possibility of boxing each other. The primary tension stems from White's foray into boxing promotions with Zuffa Boxing, poaching some of Hearn's fighters, and Hearn's decision to manage several prominent MMA fighters. Lately, however, their biggest dispute revolves around the planned heavyweight superfight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

Fury and Joshua are expected to face off in a highly anticipated bout before the end of the year. White previously claimed he was the promoter of the event. Hearn disputes this assertion, and on Tuesday, when rumors surfaced about an impending announcement for a November fight at Madison Square Garden, he vehemently dismissed them.

"I actually need to sue Dana White because he's claiming he has the ability to put the fight on there and he's using my client to do a venue deal that he has no rights to."

"The reality is, TKO is now coming to me and asking if they can be involved. So Dana White went from promoting the event to asking if he can be involved. And instead of me saying, 'Screw you!', I'm asking why? Why would I let you be involved in this event? Explain it to me. Tell me what the benefit is for Anthony Joshua. Tell me what the benefit is for Matchroom. Tell me what the benefit is for my fighters. What do you want to do? Do you want to do Matchroom vs. Zuffa with five-on-five fights on the undercard? Okay, if that gives my fighters opportunities."

"As I told them: 'You know what, let me promote WrestleMania.' Because this is my WrestleMania. And the answer is absolutely not, unless you give me reasons why. [...] Why? Why would we do it? Business is business. And if it makes sense for AJ, and maybe for Matchroom and some of our fighters, I'm open to a conversation. And look, we might even reach an agreement."

White is frustrated by the continued delays in announcing the fight but refuses to elaborate. Hearn, however, readily airs his grievances.

"Honestly, all I can tell you is we've signed for the fight," Hearn said. "They obviously want to change the contract we signed, which we don't like. That's not something we do as a company. But we also understand that these people are our partners, and it seems everyone is determined for the fight to happen in New York."

"Tyson Fury has agreed for the fight to be in America, and we haven't at the moment. So we're discussing what changing the deal would look like. And if they do everything we've discussed and agreed to in principle, then I think there's a very good chance the fight will happen in America."

Meanwhile, White dismisses Hearn's comments entirely. After the latest edition of the Contender Series on Tuesday night, White answered questions from the media. After jokingly sidestepping a question about the Madison Square Garden rumors, he commented on Hearn's statements.

"I haven't heard them. I stopped listening to Eddie Hearn about three months ago," White stated. "Is there a bigger liar than that guy? Come on. A complete liar."
