The Onitsha command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has revealed the state of affairs during the Easter holidays.

He added that his special patrol recorded no traffic or accidents.

"There was free flow of traffic and no accident was recorded in the town during the period.

However, 81 motorists were apprehended for violations such as overloading, non-use of seat belts and use of the telephone while driving,’’  Akpotobo said.

He urged residents to continue to obey all traffic rules and regulations as the FRSC would continue to remain on the roads.

"Motorists should shun drinking while driving, speeding and violation of lane and obey the instructions of the regular and special marshals on the road,” he cautioned.
