Nigeria women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, on Tuesday, June 14 bounced back from their opening day defeat to Belarus by edging their South Korean counterparts in France.

South Korea took the first quarter 13-20 in the tightly fought game but a last-ditch three-point shot won the game for Nigeria.

D’Tigress took the second, third and fourth quarters 15-13, 19-18 and 23-18 respectively to emerge winners.

Nigeria will have to wait for the outcome of the game between Belarus and South Korea to confirm their qualification into the quarter-finals.
