Donovan Mitchell Stays with Cleveland Cavaliers on $273 Million Deal

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell has inked a new long-term deal with the team, his agents announced. The contract spans four years and is valued at a total of $273 million, representing the maximum amount the Cavaliers were able to offer him.

The agreement includes a player option for the final year of the contract, the 2030/31 season, which would allow Mitchell to terminate it early.

Mitchell is the undisputed star of the Cleveland squad, which reached the Eastern Conference Finals last season. He averaged 27.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game.

The 29-year-old basketball sensation also boasts seven All-Star Game appearances to his name.
