Details of Super Eagles group stage games at AFCON 2021

The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) draw which held on Tuesday. August 17, 2021, in Yaounde, Cameroon, had Super Eagles of Nigeria in Group D. 

In that group, the Super Eagles will face Mohammed Salah’s Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau at the AFCON 2021, which will hold in 2020 after it was postponed because of the COVID 19 pandemic. 

The draw in Yaoundé, Cameroon, was attended by the creme de la creme of African football including CAF president Patrice Motsepe. 

Legends like Didier Drogba, Rigobert Song, Asamoah Gyan, Roger Mills, Samuel Eto’o, El Hadji Diouf, Rabah Madjer and Asamoah Gyan were also in attendance.

Being in Group D, the Super Eagles will open their campaign against Egypt on January 11 before facing Sudan on January 15 in their second group game.

They will then play their final group game against Guinea-Bissau on January 19.
