Singer will not be releasing a cover of Adele’s ‘Hello’
Davido will not be releasing a cover of Adele’s smash hit single ‘Hello’.
Adele released 'Hello' on October 23, and it has since garnered huge momentum around the globe as well as enjoyed critical acclaim.
It was recorded at the Metropolis Studios, London and is currently her second number one song in the UK. The song has also peaked at number one in at least 25 other countries around the world.
The song is setting records with at least 27.7 million views on Vevo within 24 hours. By virtue of this, it beat Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood which had previously enjoyed a record breaking 20.1 million views in 24 hours on Vevo.
A number of Nigerian singers has released covers of the song with Omawumi, Praiz, and Ruby Gyang throwing their vocals into the mix.
Sean Tizzle had earlier been blasted by Nigerians after he made the claim that Omawumi's cover of 'Hello' is better than the original song by Adele.
In a series of tweets, the Difference Entertainment artiste threw his weight behind the reggae treatment given to the ballad by the Nigerian songstress.
But that has not gone down well with Nigerians on Twitter who have lashed out at the singer for airing his opinion. See tweets below.
